After expiring the deadline for presenting applications for representatives of candidates and establishing in 329 the number of contenders prior to the purge of the initial list of 341, the National Electoral Committee (NEC) set September 20 and 21 as the elections days for the early voting abroad.
The elections to renew the 40 seats at the NFC, the legislative body of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), began presenting the nominations on August 13, and must conclude with the voting in the country on October 3, whose results will join those issued in the voting abroad.
The Foreign ministry passed the NFC's proposal to create polling stations in embassies, consulatesm and other diplomatic missions whose voting process will be monitored from the foreign ministry and the NFC websites.
